Job Description

Position: Software Test Automation Co-op/Intern

Number of Position(s): 1

Duration: 4 Months

Date: Sept 3 - Dec 20

Location: Flexible (Hybrid or virtual)

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Currently a candidate for a Master's, bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

Responsibilities

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Program new capabilities into our nodeJS/Mocha test automation infrastructure such as test validation methods, connectivity to devices via specific networking protocols, and debugging utilities.
  • Understand the test requirements from testers and devise how to build the corresponding functionality in the automation framework.
  • Prototype new ways to test specific NSP deployment scenarios with a focus on the robustness of the system.
  • Participate in deep data mining and cutting-edge techniques for test management.

Required Skills

You have:

  • Demonstrated programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented software design concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Working knowledge of NodeJS/Mocha or Selenium
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • Experience with machine learning/AI
