Purpose

Ensure efficient contract execution in the field by managing costs, timelines, and field teams while prioritizing installation quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism and customer service orientation when dealing with clients.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop lead hands/technicians.
  • Facilitate skills onboarding for crew members.
  • Ensure quality of work, materials, tools, equipment, and trucks for the job.
  • Implement Lock-Out Tag process for broken equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and plans accurately.
  • Follow instructions and plans to control expenditures within budget.
  • Resolve issues and make timely decisions on job sites within the scope of work; escalate to Civil Project Manager if necessary.
  • Identify potential change orders and escalate to Civil Project Manager.
  • Uphold safety standards on all job sites.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and participate in bi-weekly safety meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly worksite.
  • Report any deviations from the plan to Civil Project Manager.
  • Complete daily material lists and submit packing slips.
  • Submit LMN Time sheets and photos daily.
  • Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and other necessities for crew.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of job sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of trucks and equipment.
  • Prepare tools and materials required for each day's work.
  • Attend Foreman & Team meetings.
  • Conduct crew evaluations at designated intervals.
  • Provide daily updates to operations coordinator regarding material and equipment needs.
  • Provide end-of-day updates to Civil Project Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to company services/products.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Extensive experience with concrete, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water line installation as well as strong leadership qualities
  • Timely submission of daily slips and material forms.
  • High client satisfaction ratings.
  • Adherence to schedule (on-time completion of jobs, staying within budgeted hours).
  • Completion of LMN Time sheets on a daily basis.
  • Positive colleague engagement.
