About The Role
In this role, you will join the Product Management team and report to the Director of Product Management. As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping Highspot’s product strategy, with a strong focus on leveraging generative AI to solve real customer problems. At Highspot, Product Management is a highly collaborative function. You’ll work closely with design, user research, and engineering to explore how GenAI can enhance workflows, drive automation, and deliver insights. Your deep understanding of AI capabilities—and your ability to translate them into practical applications—will be critical in delivering customer value. This role offers significant ownership within the product portfolio, giving you the opportunity to identify, define, validate, and ship innovative and differentiated features. Our ideal candidate is passionate about emerging technologies and brings a strong mix of customer empathy, technical curiosity, and product rigor. What You'll Do
- You will work with customers and stakeholders to create a strategic roadmap, prioritize problems, and define requirements, then manage the backlog through the product development process from discovery to general availability.
- You will become an expert on our software, customers, and our market, and be able to identify, prioritize, and execute both tactical and strategic projects.
- You work well cross-functionally with other teams, such as executives, product marketing, and customer success, ensuring their objectives are met, their opinions are considered, and plans are effectively communicated.
- You will collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to inform the shaping of requirements, features, and end products.
- You will dig deep into customer and usage data to identify opportunities and evaluate the success of our efforts.
- You will work closely with industry experts to understand industry direction and trends and identify R&D opportunities that can set us apart from the competition.
- This is a senior-level position. You have been building software products for some time and have over 5 years of experience shipping products as a product manager in an agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment.
- You have experience working on complex user scenarios, with multiple personas interacting through the tool.
- You have experience understanding intricate systems and partnering with Design to deliver simple yet powerful user experiences.
- You are incredibly detail-oriented and enjoy polishing the experience of your customers.
- You are experienced at taking ideas and ambiguous data, defining the right outcome, and creating the right roadmap or backlog to get there.
- You have experience defining a strategic roadmap that leverages multiple inputs, including user research, customer data, and company initiatives.
- You can communicate the strategy and roadmap to execs, team members, and customers.
- As a product owner, you have worked with engineering teams and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to ship high-quality products.
- This is a technical role; you will work directly with senior engineers and instinctively understand technical concepts and trade-offs.
- You can comfortably handle many concurrent projects and tasks, and instinctively reprioritize them often without needing guidance. Highspot is in the growth and scaling stage, and you will be comfortable with the level of ambiguity and workload that entails.
- You are a strong communicator and can lead teams through difficult decisions.
- You have strong data skills in quantitative analytics and qualitative user research.
- You can roll up your sleeves and work outside your defined role when needed.
- You have experience building products for sales, marketing, or other customer-facing teams.
- You have experience in B2B SaaS and understand the mechanics and economics of a SaaS business.
- You have experience building products that leverage machine learning and Generative AI technology.
- You have a technical degree or equivalent work experience.
