Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for Novari Clinical Analysts to help move forward with Referral Intake and eReferral workflows as they integrate Novari into Oracle Health/Cerner and OceanMD.


Deliverables:

• Current-state analysis and future-state design of centralized referral intake and surgical booking workflows.

• Configuration of Novari eRequest pathways to support provincially standardized triage, scheduling prioritization, and referral routing.

• Working alongside operational teams to support the new central intake teams

• Collaboration with operational teams on referral guidelines development to support the central intake teams.

• Testing, troubleshooting, and deployment support for configured referral workflows.

• Training materials, knowledge transfer sessions, and change management support.

• Documentation of referral processes and alignment with provincial clinical and access-to-care standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in clinical informatics, digital health, or healthcare transformation projects.

• Proven expertise in implementing referral intake or scheduling solutions within medicine, ambulatory, or surgical settings.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience with Novari or similar eReferral platforms, including workflow configuration.

• Knowledge of clinical and operational priorities in outpatient care referral and booking systems.

• Experience supporting training, testing, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization activities.

• Familiarity with interoperability standards and health IT integration practices.

• Ability to effectively document clinical workflows and translate them into technical specifications.

• Postsecondary education in Health Informatics, Nursing, Allied Health, Health Administration, Information Systems, or related field.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci Change Management, or CPHIMS-CA are preferred.

• Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary clinical and administrative teams.

• Proven track record of contributing to large-scale health IT implementations.

• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, evolving environments.

• Previous experience with Nova Scotia Health or similar healthcare systems is an asset.

Knowledge of:

• Referral lifecycle management, including centralized intake processes for ambulatory, medicine, and surgical outpatient services.

• Clinical workflow design and optimization within ambulatory care and surgical booking contexts.

• eReferral platform configuration and integration, ideally Novari or comparable systems.

• Health IT standards such as HL7 and FHIR for interoperability and data exchange.

• Clinical information systems commonly used include EMR/EHR platforms like Millennium.

• Quality improvement methodologies and healthcare access initiatives at the provincial level.

• Change management principles relevant to clinical informatics implementations.
