The Director of Laboratory Services is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the hospital’s laboratory operations across multiple sites. This role guides a geographically distributed team, fostering collaboration and alignment to ensure high-quality, efficient, and patient-centred laboratory services. Acting as a key representative to external partners and stakeholders, the Director builds strong relationships and brings people together to advance shared goals. With a focus on strengthening foundational processes and systems, the Director will support initiatives to modernize laboratory operations, enhance automation, and expand in-house services. The ideal candidate for the Director of Laboratory Services is an experienced and dynamic leader with a strong background in managing large, multi-site laboratory operations. With a deep understanding of technical laboratory operations, they ensure day-to-day functions run smoothly while maintaining focus on strategic direction and long-term growth. This individual is an excellent communicator who builds trust and strong relationships with staff, hospital partners, and external stakeholders alike. They inspire and guide a diverse team across multiple locations, fostering a collaborative culture that supports high performance, continuous improvement, and innovation.
