We have a relief part-time (0.80 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening in Salmon Arm, B.C. This position is expected to run until February 2027 or the return of the current incumbent. This position works Tuesday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00 at Bastion Place. This is an 80 bed long-term care facility including Short Stay Beds.

The occupational therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient, outpatient, residential and community occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The occupational therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.
