The International Recruitment team at SFU leads global undergraduate recruitment initiatives, focusing on building strategic enrolment pipelines and fostering international partnerships. We provide advising, outreach, and admissions support services to prospective international students, their families, and educational partners. About the Role

The Regional Manager, International Recruitment is a key member of SFU’s student services team, responsible for developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives in priority markets (China, Greater Asia, etc). This role advances SFU’s goals of attracting a diverse and talented student population and supports the university’s broader internationalization strategy. Through data-driven planning, relationship management, and targeted outreach, the Regional Manager builds strong enrolment pipelines and represents SFU globally to prospective students, parents, agents, and institutional partners. The role requires international travel, independent decision-making, and expertise in global education systems, as well as a strong understanding of intercultural communication. As SFU navigates shifting immigration policies and a competitive recruitment landscape, this role is critical in maintaining market presence, achieving enrolment targets, and ensuring an excellent applicant experience. It is an ideal opportunity for a strategic, globally minded professional passionate about student mobility and international education.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, self-directed professional with experience in international student recruitment and cross-cultural communication. They are skilled in market analysis, relationship-building, and advising diverse audiences. Strong public speaking, project management, and data-informed decision-making abilities are essential. Proficiency with CRM systems, international education systems, and a second language relevant to key markets is highly valued. The successful candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, and aligned with SFU’s commitment to inclusive, student-centered recruitment practices that support institutional enrolment goals and global engagement.
