What we expect

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, initiation and implementation of standardized best practices of the hydraulic and MRL business lines
  • Use periods of high concentration and knowledge of elevator systems to manually assemble, install, maintain, and update major elevator components including rails, pit and hoist way equipment, car and counterweight assemblies and machine room equipment. Requires lifting parts weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Manually wire, install, maintain, and update small elevator components including roller guides, door track and linkages and the whole buttons and lanterns. Requires color perception to distinguish color-coded wiring and components
  • Monitor and analyze functioning of motion or operation controls to trace circuits, troubleshoot, and adjust motion profiles, and other related activities to better understand system and a component workings
  • Ensure the safe performance of all work in accordance with safety standards and policies to protect the health and welfare of self and others
  • Receive and orally answer all trouble calls and callbacks associated with Hydros , Evo and EOX
  • Work at heights on surfaces that require good equilibrium
  • Standardize best practices for strategic management, job site installation, factory to field efficiencies gain and project management. Coordinate through all levels of management teams to drive best practices and initiatives
  • Foster a culture of safety and complete compliance with all laws, rules and regulations
  • Implement and oversee strategic operations initiatives; strategically review and implement best practices that drive performance through gained labor efficiency and quality
  • Lead operations, while developing synergies and fostering relationships between field and factory
  • Serve as key member and liaison between Canadian field and factory in driving synergies, along with strategic opportunities that provide optimum measurable results in quality and labor efficiency through lines of business
  • Monitor performance to ensure standardization of goals are met or exceeded
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who we are looking for

Role Qualifications

  • IUEC card and mechanic's license or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of TK Elevator equipment, processes, and experience in mentorship and field training
  • Minimum of 10 years in the industry; coupled by supervisory/managerial experience
  • Experience with new installation product line is required
  • Reputable safety leader amongst peers
  • Requires ability to understand general arithmetic; speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations; understand difficult verbal or written instructions
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills; including attention to detail and multi- tasking capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external contacts
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to the attainment of financial and/or labor efficiency goals
  • Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention intermittently to wire, install, maintain and update elevator compound is approximately 75% of the time. Mental effort and concentration followed by other aspects of the job with the lesser concentration and attention requirements. Requires ability to perform administrative duties such as data gathering and submitting written reports
  • Requires walking/standing approximately 80%, sitting approximately 20% and lifting up to 100 pounds approximately 50% of the time; involves repetitive stooping, for bending, and crouching approximately 70% of the time; involves travel upset 95% of the time
  • Requires the ability of performing essential job functions in field setting with exposure to non-climate controlled conditions
  • Requires the use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and record written information; requires capability to operate an automobile
  • May be required to obtain and maintain license or certification in accordance with local codes
  • Travel will be required based on operational needs across Canada
