The CHU de Québec – Université Laval Research Center invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in the area of artificial intelligence and digital pathology, with a focus on prostate cancer research. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team engaged in advanced research at the intersection of AI, digital pathology, and clinical oncology, under the supervision of Dr. Venkata Manem and Dr. Louis Archambault.
Project Overview
– Develop artificial intelligence methods to analyze whole slide imaging (WSI) data.
– Integrate histopathology, genomics, and clinical data for comprehensive analysis.
– Identify novel multimodal biomarkers for outcome prediction in prostate cancer.
– Employ deep learning techniques and model interpretability to enhance translational impact.
Requirements
– MSc degree in Medical Physics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or a related field.
– Strong background in machine learning and image analysis, with proficiency in frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
– Experience with WSI data and high-performance computing is considered an asset.
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
