Job Summary
We are currently seeking a qualified 4th Class Power Engineer to operate and maintain steam and power generation systems in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of boilers, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operating procedures.

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a qualified 4th Class Power Engineer to operate and maintain steam and power generation systems in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of boilers, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operating procedures.
What You Will Do
- Operate and monitor boilers, pressure vessels, and related steam plant systems
- Perform regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Record operating data, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond to alarms or system malfunctions
- Maintain logs and reports in compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Adjust controls and valves to regulate steam pressure, water levels, and fuel supply
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams to ensure safe and continuous operation
- Follow all company safety procedures and provincial regulations.
- Assist with start-up, shut-down, and emergency procedures for boiler systems
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate (Province-certified)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and maintenance practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot, noisy, or confined environment as needed
- Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
