Job Purpose

Our Jr. Mechanics will use knowledge, skills, experience and good judgement to produce a reliable, quality airworthy product at a reasonable cost and optimum turn time while providing the highest quality of workmanship for all work accomplished. Previous aviation experience valued but not required.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and interpret maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing life-limited, malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Replace or worn, defective or damaged components using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment.
  • Perform testing of M250 model helicopter engines and components.
  • Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and reassembly of engines and associated engine accessories

Marginal Job Functions

  • Knowledge of general office clerical procedures.
  • Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to regularly exercise sound judgment.

Safety Requirements

  • Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and compliance.
  • Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
  • Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.

Work Location: Precision Heliparts, Surrey BC Canada

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

Education/Training: None

Experience: Limited experience required. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential. (Helicopter or Auto Mechanics welcome to apply).

Certificates/Licenses: NDT certification a plus but not required

Other: Other duties may be assigned in role to support other departments, personnel or projects.
