In this role, you will:
- Observe welders ensuring that procedures are followed correctly,
- Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) and review non-destructive testing (NDT) reports to identify defects or deviations from the quality standards,
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and any corrective actions taken,
- Verify that welding operations comply with standards, regulations, and customer specifications,
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control plans for welding projects,
- Analyze issues and implement solutions to ensure that welding quality is maintained,
- Work closely with engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure that welding projects meet quality requirements,
- Preparing reports on welding inspections, non-conformances, and other relevant information.
- A minimum of 5 years’ welding-based work experience, preferably in a complex engineering environment,
- A post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technology related field,
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of welding principles and practices,
- Proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment ,
- Deep knowledge and experience in managing and understanding drawings and specifications,
- A strong understanding of quality assurance and control principles is necessary for ensuring that welding processes are properly managed,
- Experience managing large data sets, with skills in data analytics,
- Ability to use the suite of MS Office,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills,
- Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Clearances.
