Position: Product Manager, Mining Industry
Location: Ideally, this person would be located close to one of our offices in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Burlington, Ontario or Delta, British-Columbia.

We are currently seeking someone to join our team in the role of Product Manager. This person should have good knowledge (chemicals and their application) of mineral extraction applications in Canada and the USA.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Product Manager will perform marketing and procurement functions that are key to the growth of our industry. We are looking for someone with experience in procurement, marketing, and a network of contacts in the mining industry.
With your professional experience, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated product portfolio. You will guide the organization by making strategic decisions regarding inventory, margin, long-term goals, and more! You will also be responsible for being the internal expert and providing support to the sales team while proposing sales and marketing strategies.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Product Manager?:
- Acting as an expert on your key products and markets, playing a central and technical role within the sales team
- Establishing strong connections with Quadra's commercial team based on trust, credibility, and cooperation
- Establishing and managing solid relationships with a base of suppliers in the mining industry
- Collaborating with our team based in Shanghai to research products and gather market information
- Formally evaluating supplier performance and business relationships on an annual and quarterly basis
- Identifying and providing reliable and competitive product supply for targeted markets
- Being responsible for the development and sustained, profitable growth of the product portfolio
- Actively participating in the growth of your portfolio in terms of new products and target markets (integration of new suppliers, products, etc.)
- Reviewing contractual agreements to strike the right balance between risk management and deal closure
- Aligning company objectives, customer requirements, and supplier expectations
- Managing product pricing strategy
- Actively contributing to group and company strategic objectives and the achievement of vision and mission
- Actively participating in key industry events (trade shows, conferences, etc.).
- Being responsible for forecasting, inventory planning, pricing, etc.
- Experience in market analysis and the development of marketing plans and strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mineral Geology, Sciences, or Business
- Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be considered a strong asset
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical product management or procurement
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial role (B2B) in sales within the manufacturing or distribution industry
- Demonstrated experience in promoting product lines in the field of mining reagents and/or in the mining industry
- Experience in market analysis, understanding of global trade, raw materials, and currencies
- Holding a professional accreditation in procurement or supply chain management would be an asset
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English. Bilingualism would be a strong asset (French/English)
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint; to work effectively with the Office 365 suite) as well as solid skills with a CRM (experience with Salesforce would be an asset)
- Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating autonomy and good time management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrating good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel (up to 30% of the time), including overnight and international travel.
- Must posses a valid passport and driver's license
