About This Career Opportunity

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects.

The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to create and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and identify potential delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
• Create and maintain baseline schedules, identifying critical paths and milestones.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual conditions based on project managers updates.
• Provide regular schedule status reports and forecasts to management.
• Evaluate resource requirements and allocations across multiple projects.
• Implement schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.

Education Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Engineering.

Work Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of scheduling experience in the construction industry.
  
  

Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements

• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Scheduling certifications.
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Full-time position, primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
• May require travel between multiple project sites.
