Position | Location: Human Resources Business Partner | Calgary, AB (Hybrid)


The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our collaborative HR team. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. You will work closely with leaders across departments to support and enhance our people-first approach, while bringing a passion for continuous improvement to every aspect of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director, Human Resources to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes across departments
  • Collaborate with the HR team to address and resolve operational issues.
  • Lead the administration of the Total Rewards Program, including compensation, benefits, and recognition initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  • Support performance management processes and professional development strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain up-to-date HR policies and manuals.
  • Provide payroll backup support and act as second-in-command (2iC) to the Director, Human Resources.

About You and Your Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of provincial employment legislation across Canada and HR best practices.
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on generalist roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPHR designation (or in progress), required.
  • Canadian Payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems; experience with Dayforce an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A continuous desire for improvement and the ability to manage change; the ability to dig in and find root causes and propose solutions to issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and take on new tasks with varying degrees of difficulty.
  • You have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • You are organized, adaptable, and have a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
