Position | Location: Human Resources Business Partner | Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our collaborative HR team. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. You will work closely with leaders across departments to support and enhance our people-first approach, while bringing a passion for continuous improvement to every aspect of your work.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director, Human Resources to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes across departments
- Collaborate with the HR team to address and resolve operational issues.
- Lead the administration of the Total Rewards Program, including compensation, benefits, and recognition initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Support performance management processes and professional development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain up-to-date HR policies and manuals.
- Provide payroll backup support and act as second-in-command (2iC) to the Director, Human Resources.
About You and Your Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of provincial employment legislation across Canada and HR best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on generalist roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPHR designation (or in progress), required.
- Canadian Payroll experience.
- Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems; experience with Dayforce an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A continuous desire for improvement and the ability to manage change; the ability to dig in and find root causes and propose solutions to issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and take on new tasks with varying degrees of difficulty.
- You have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- You are organized, adaptable, and have a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
