Opportunity Snapshot


As a Software Engineer in Test at Pixieset, you’ll help drive the quality, performance, and reliability of our all-in-one platform—trusted by over 1 million photographers and creative professionals worldwide. You’ll contribute to the development and expansion of our automated testing strategy, collaborating with Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Development teams to identify issues early, improve test coverage, and enhance release confidence. This is a hands-on role where you’ll strengthen our testing infrastructure and play a key part in delivering a smooth, reliable experience for our users. Your Impact


  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across multiple product areas
  • Expand our test automation framework to increase speed, coverage, and accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure new features are built with testability in mind
  • Contribute automated tests for new features and enhancements
  • Review product code with a focus on testability, reliability, and error handling
  • Own test strategies during deployments, and proactively detect regressions and integration issues
  • Configure tests to run effectively and reliably within our CI/CD pipelines
  • Identify, document, and communicate bugs and test results efficiently
  • Champion quality across the team by driving best practices and coaching developers on test strategies


Role Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test or a similar QA automation role
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL
  • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and feature tests
  • Expertise with modern automated testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress, TestCafe, Jest, Puppeteer)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and DevOps tools
  • Detail-oriented and analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $77,900 - $128,100 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
