Your Work Environment:
As a Maintenance Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of automated systems within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading automation systems, PLCs, robotics, and control systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Your expertise will support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of automated systems within the facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLCs, robotics, control systems, and automation software.
- Upgrade and improve existing automation systems to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Program and configure automation software, including SCADA, HMI, and CAD tools.
- Analyze system diagnostics to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Lead and support automation projects from conception to implementation.
- Train staff on system functionalities and troubleshooting best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Strong expertise in PLCs, robotics, automation software, and control systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Python, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA, HMI, and CAD tools for automation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and train staff.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certifications such as AWS, ISTQB, CE, ITIL, CCNA, or similar.
- Experience managing automation projects from conception to implementation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for automation systems.
