Sinai Health is seeking a collaborative Advisor, Talent Acquisition to join our recruitment team at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital. In this role, you will support end-to-end recruitment by managing key stages of the hiring process, from job postings and prescreening candidates to coordinating interviews and onboarding activities, all while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.. You will work closely alongside Talent Acquisition professionals to provide client service excellence to hiring managers, supporting them with your organizational expertise and proactive approach. About The Talent Acquisition Team

Our Talent Acquisition team plays a crucial role in ensuring Sinai Health remains at the cutting edge of patient care by providing essential services such as recruitment and hiring selection, job fairs/hiring events, sourcing and outreach, employer branding, and talent pipeline development. We focus on recruiting for both Mount Sinai and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospitals while partnering with other HR teams within the People and Culture portfolio department. In our recruitment endeavors, we prioritize creativity and innovation to optimize processes and technologies. This strategy enables us to effectively cater to the requirements of 100+ clients, successfully filling over 300 diverse positions.

In This Role You Will

  • Coordinate recruitment and selection for assigned portfolio
  • Create and revise job postings in the Applicant Tracking System. Post positions (internally/externally as appropriate)
  • Conduct telephone and/or in-person screening interviews
  • Create and maintain complete and accurate recruitment files
  • Shortlist and forward resumes that meet the posted requirements to hiring managers for review
  • Schedule and attend interviews as required
  • Conduct credential and regulated health professions registration checks for external applicants
  • Generate seniority lists and prepare internal transfer paperwork; Conduct attendance and discipline checks for internal applicants. Secure and check references, prepare and draft offer letters to successful candidates
  • Support career fairs and engage with potential external applicants and ensure effective representation of Sinai Health’s employer brand and Sinai Health as a preferred employer
  • Complete applicable new hire, transfer and onboarding documentation for employee files
  • Provide back-up to other HR Advisor members of the Talent Acquisition team as required
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required

Job Requirements

Mandatory

  • Successful completion of a diploma and/or degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution
  • 2 years of recent and relevant recruitment and selection experience
  • Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may be considered

Preferred

  • Experience in a large, complex unionized environment; health care experience a definite asset

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to provide interpretation and explanation of Human Resources policies, collective agreements and relevant legislation
  • Proficient and creative using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
  • Must be discreet and demonstrate sound judgment, analytical ability, diplomacy and tact to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently compose a variety of recruitment and selection correspondence
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
