Our main North American office, located in beautiful Vancouver, BC is seeking a Sr Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about the details, and has an interest in learning about agency operations and how the magic of brand experiences are made. As a key member of our team, you will support the Finance department with core accounting functions while managing general office administrative duties to keep the workplace running efficiently and fun!


The role involves:

  • Maintain financial accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, prepayments, inter-company transactions, and payroll
  • Collaboration with the accounts team on invoicing and SOW document management
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, review contract terms, and manage payment cycles in alignment with cash flow priorities
  • Manage revenue recognition and accruals with auditable working papers
  • Cash flow management and weekly payment processing
  • Maintain Capex schedules and documentation of all computer hardware, software licenses, warranties, and products supported.
  • Oversee all payroll functions to ensure employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner semi-monthly; issue annual T4s and T4As
  • Ensure all statutory financial requirements are met including payroll taxes, GST, VAT, EHT, Worksafe
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with corporate income tax filings and optimize tax planning strategies
  • Review work prepared by junior staff (ie. reconciliations, expense reports, journal entries)
  • Provide training or guidance on accounting processes or new tools
  • Month end and Quarter end closing and financial reporting, including variance analysis to leadership
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting models, and any scenario modeling
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within finance operations and reporting


The must haves:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in intermediate accounting role in a service industry or agency with multicurrency GL
  • Proficient in accounting software (ie. Xero), MS Office Suite, and Google Workspace
  • Advanced excel/ google sheets knowledge (VLOOKUPs, modeling, etc)
  • Familiarity with Canadian and US payroll processing and basic HR functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
