How does the role impact the organization?
The Senior Associate, Tax & Client Reporting requires an organized, hardworking, team-oriented and computer proficient candidate. The candidate must meet the department’s tax season deadlines and be able to thoroughly investigate client queries as well as resolve those issues in conjunction with internal staff and Investment Advisors.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $67,000-77,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Senior Associate, Tax & Client Reporting
How does the role impact the organization?
The Senior Associate, Tax & Client Reporting requires an organized, hardworking, team-oriented and computer proficient candidate. The candidate must meet the department’s tax season deadlines and be able to thoroughly investigate client queries as well as resolve those issues in conjunction with internal staff and Investment Advisors.
What will your role be responsible for?
- Ensure high quality control by reviewing routine departmental tasks & projects prepared by junior associates;
- Provide support and solutions to inquiries from Investment Advisor teams and other internal departments as a subject matter expert;
- Review client documentation and maintain client database in accordance with business policies, CRA, IRS and investment industry regulations;
- Process and review Canadian, Quebec, and U.S. income tax receipts during tax season;
- Assist with the development of training materials and participate in the training of junior and seasonal associates;
- Contribute to the improvement and enhancement of work processes to increase efficiency and accuracy;
- Liaise and correspond professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
- Develop a thorough understanding of Raymond James’ services, businesses and industry;
- Correspond with various government agencies to address tax compliance issues;
- Provide assistance to other Tax Reporting team members as needed;

What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
- Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry;
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively;
- Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Proficient in time management, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines;
- Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues;
- Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and activities;
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing excellent client service;
- Bachelor’s Degree, Commerce or Business Administration preferred;
- 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in tax or the financial services industry;
- Professional experience in a client service role;
- Completion of CPA or InDepth tax program is an asset;
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint);
- Grow professionally and inspire others to do the same

- Take ownership and hold themselves and others accountable for delivering results that matter
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the firm
