Greenhouse is seeking a product development associate to support the Product Development team in formulating, testing, and optimizing beverage products. Assist with ingredient sourcing, lab and plant trial runs, and ensuring alignment with quality, cost, innovation goal, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Statement of Work & Responsibilities:

Product Development Support:

  • Assist in the development of new and existing products, including prototypes and formulations.
  • Experiment with alternative ingredients to meet clean-label, allergen-free, or plant-based requirements
  • Conduct ingredient testing and assist in sourcing materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of trials, formulations, and experimental data.


Lab Operations:

  • Prepare samples for internal and external evaluations.
  • Conduct laboratory tests such as pH, viscosity, Brix, micro-test and sensory evaluations.
  • Record and interpret test results to optimize formulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab space and equipment.


Research & Documentation:

  • Research trends, ingredients, and technologies in the beverage industry.
  • Document processes, findings, and recommendations for improvements.


Pilot Plant & Production Support:

  • Participate in pilot-scale trials and assist in scaling up formulations to production.
  • Monitor product performance during trials and provide reports.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Support the preparation of technical documents, including ingredient specifications and labels.
  • Ensure formulations meet food safety and regulatory requirements.


Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to support product launches.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for innovation.
  • Support other departments, such as R&D, Quality Assurance, Operations, etc, on an ad hoc basis, as needed.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Understanding of food ingredients, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and processing techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of sensory evaluation, product shelf-life, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with food lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, viscometers).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Remain agile and have eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
