Job Title

Client Partner –Public Sector

To be considered for this role you must be residing in Calgary or Edmonton locations.

Slalom's Calgary team is currently seeking a Public Sector Client Partner to drive results by producing a well-managed, profitable, and growing book of business and technology delivery opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to sell and build strategic relationships within the Public Sector for Western Canada.

So, what will I do?

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships within the public sector, primarily focused on Provincial (Alberta Government), Municipalities (City of Calgary, City of Edmonton), Crown corporations/authorities (such as Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission) and Healthcare (incl. the ministry, health authorities and supporting agencies) – drive new connections and deepen relationships within the market and client accounts.
  • Building our capability – focus on increasing brand recognition by attending various industry or functional meetings, forums, publications, sponsor/speaker at industry events and/or client workshops, etc.
  • Financial management – oversee the profit and loss of accounts.
  • Sales pipeline management – being active in the market to build relationships, generating and leading new sales opportunities for Slalom and qualifying responding to RFP responses and service requests.
  • Portfolio management – providing coaching and mentoring to other client service leads and Engagement Leads supporting opportunities, delivery, and quality management on Slalom clients.
  • Delivery and quality management – oversight of all work, deliverables being performed on accounts within your client portfolio. Engaged on steering committees and with executives to drive expectation alignment across teams. Actively spending time with clients conducting customer love/client feedback conversations.
  • People and talent management – providing guidance, supervision, and coaching to the team members assigned to accounts within the assigned client group, ensuring Slalom teams serving clients are engaged and excited about the work they are doing.
  • Administration – ensuring the proper administrative controls are in place and adhered for quality and contractual risk mitigation.

And, what will I bring?

  • 10+ years of knowledge and experience in Technology Consulting/Professional Services
  • 10+ years’ experience managing delivery teams of 5+ consultants through all lifecycles of a project, whilst also maintaining delivery utilization targets of your own.
  • Current experience working with clients within the Public Sector in Calgary and across Alberta
  • Experience managing the financials of a $5+ million portfolio of work
  • Experience selling complex cloud based technical programs to enterprise level clients
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiations and difficult conversations.
  • Experienced in building relationships with CXOs and business decision-makers.
  • Experienced and adept at aligning teams to work toward a common goal; consistently demonstrates strong leadership.

Hybrid/In office: We are hybrid but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you onsite that you are able to meet those expectations/requirements
