As a Bid Desk Specialist, we’ll expect you to implement special bid pricing to increase company margins and our bottom line. You’ll facilitate all partners, vendors, and internal bid programs to ensure we are offering the best and most competitive prices for our customers. What you’ll do:
- Implement, analyze and maintain special pricing programs through ongoing communication with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Accounting and Manufacturer representatives.
- Validate end user eligibility, enter associated costs, and discounts based on the terms and conditions of bid programs within AS400. Validations must be determined within set time frames.
- Identify areas of opportunity for process improvements and system enhancements; make associated recommendations to increase efficiency and automation.
- Create and maintain relationships with partners and implement all available pricing programs for Sales.
- Shop and negotiate with partners to obtain optimal pricing for specific end user opportunities.
- Minimize errors and escalate issues as necessary to the appropriate partner representative to ensure zero mistakes and maximum accuracy.
- Work directly with the sellers and buyers to resolve any discrepancies regarding bid pricing.
- Assist in projects related to departmental initiatives and goals.
What you need to succeed:
Must-have:
- College or University Degree in Business or Business analysis.
- 3+ year experience working in purchasing or distribution environment.
- Possesses a great knowledge of MS Excel, including reporting, file conversions and macros.
- Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven proficiency in analytical skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems and opportunities
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with customers, coworkers, management and executives.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Working knowledge of AS400.
- 2+ year(s) of Accounting/Finance experience
- Customer Service or Sales experience
Pay range: $ 52,000 - $ 72,000, depending on experience and skill set
