Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven payments lead to optimize and enhance our payments strategy, increasing our revenue by effectively managing cost, payment risk, and compliance. This role is instrumental in refining our payment methods, migrating schools and districts to our preferred payment providers, and negotiating and managing our contracts and vendors to reduce expenses.

You will collaborate closely with the Payment Product Team to deploy impactful solutions, refine our approach, and ensure adherence to compliance standards. This position will lead the Payments Optimization function to support the ongoing transformation of our payment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Reduce payment costs, enhance payment revenue, and reduce payment risk
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, regularly review partner agreements, and explore new provider options
  • Review and recommend changes to align with evolving regulatory requirements
  • Complete migrations, roll out the PCI dashboard, and implement chargeback automation strategies
  • Work closely with Product teams to shape, prioritize, and deploy solutions that improve operational efficiency and profitability

Requirements and Skills:

  • Previous experience in product management or consulting, with a payment background in a bank or merchant setting
  • Analytical mindset with a keen ability to identify and craft creative cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic payment initiatives
  • Exposure to contract negotiations, compliance management, and payment processing optimization is preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product teams and stakeholders to drive measurable improvements.
  • Leadership skills to drive the payments optimization function and initiatives forward
