We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Strategy Director to drive quality, innovation, and client satisfaction in our audit practice. Reporting directly to the Management Committee, the Audit Strategy Director is responsible for driving the adoption of innovative audit methodologies while upholding the highest quality standards. This role also involves leading a dynamic team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and process improvement, mentoring staff, managing client engagements, and supporting growth in the audit division. The Audit Assurance Strategy Director will be responsible for managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and supporting growth in the audit division while promoting the adoption of innovative audit methodologies. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the audit practice, aligning with the firm's overall objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation by promoting and adopting new audit methodologies and technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the audit team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Encourage team members to explore and integrate emerging trends and practices in audit methodologies.
- Stay ahead of emerging audit trends and drive their adoption within the firm.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Lead complex and high-profile audit engagements, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Proactively identify client needs and offer tailored solutions, including cross-selling other firm services.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent within the audit team.
- Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and adherence to professional standards.
- Encourage the team to explore, adopt, and refine new audit methodologies and best practices, ensuring the firm stays at the forefront of the profession.
- Champion the adoption of innovative audit tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
- Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and technologies affecting the audit profession
- Ensure audit engagements comply with professional standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive profitability and efficiency within the audit practice, optimizing resource allocation, offshoring, and engagement management.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes to improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA designation required.
- 8-10 years of audit experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Bilingual proficiency required (English and French)
- Strong track record in managing complex audit engagements and client relationships.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, and audit technology adoption.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change.
- Deep knowledge of audit regulations, standards, and best practices.
