  • The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

About The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive ACRE DevSecOps Engineer to join their team. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of their systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevSecOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols, with a passion for optimizing processes and safeguarding systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development process and improve deployment efficiency.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of the ACRE platform.
  • Collaboration: Work with software engineers and product teams to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Security Integration: Incorporate and maintain security assessments and vulnerability scans into the delivery cycle.
  • Testing Oversight: Oversee Penetration and Ethical Hacking testing.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and security protocols.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends and emerging security threats, applying new techniques and technologies to enhance the security posture of the organization.
  • Incident Response: Provide support for incident response and disaster recovery planning, ensuring business continuity in the event of a security breach or system failure.

Scope

  • This is a critical role as a member of the team, striving to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, improve deployment efficiency, and support the short-, medium-, and long-term goals of the company, potentially including an external sale process. As a start-up company, the individual in this role will be responsible for building relationships and working collaboratively with the Technical, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Internal Relationships: Communication with corporate functions (including Insurance, TIS).
  • External Relationships: Communication with external customers or service providers (including Brokers, Advisors, Developers, Others).

Required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or security engineering, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including network security, application security, and data protection.
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation and process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing cloud resources.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations relevant to the insurance or legal industries (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure system health and security.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus.
