JOB INFO

The Labourer/Operator is expected to be engaged in our safety program, execute work in a safe manner, and follow CANA policies and all applicable regulations.

  • The work requires commuting to and from the job site daily
  • The position requires physically demanding motions and tasks
  • Candidates are required to be in good physical condition, fit for work and prepared to work on project sites outside in all seasons and weather

Assist Project Site With

  • Housekeeping duties and material management
  • Ability to use power stools an asset
  • General construction safety knowledge

As An Operator

  • Understand and execute the safe loading and unloading of various materials and equipment.
  • Understand and execute safe rigging practices.
  • Complete any Daily inspections and routine mtc as required, to be performed in accordance with CANA Policy and equipment instructions, including fueling the equipment.
  • Advise Supervisor of any maintenance concerns or issues.
  • Operate the equipment in a safe manner, within the guidelines and limitations of the equipment.
  • Assist with the completion of any incident reports, relating to the equipment.
  • When required, due to workload, engage in the responsibilities of a Labourer.

YOU WILL

To Be Successful In The Role

  • Ticketed experience and competent with the operation of relevant project equipment specifically Zoomboom/Rough Terrain Forklift and Skidsteer.
  • Mechanical competency is an asset.
  • Gas propane and glycol heat competency an asset.
  • Rigging Experience is an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License or means of transportation to project sites.
  • Have a good understanding and/or ability to find information as needed in the OH&S regulations.
