We are currently recruiting a casual Research Assistant to join Dr. Antoine (Tony) Eskander’s research team. Dr. Eskander is a head and neck oncologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Head & Neck Disease Site Lead at the Odette Cancer Centre, Chief of Otolaryngology at Michael Garron Hospital, Adjunct Scientist at ICES, Associate Scientist at Sunnybrook Research Institute, and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be hired through the Sunnybrook Research Institute and report to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Antoine (Tony) Eskander.

Key Responsibilities

  • Abstracting data from SunnyCare (EPR) related to head and neck cancers
  • Inputting data into a REDCap database
  • Reviewing inputted data for accuracy

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or related discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience with Electronic Data Capture systems (e.g. REDCap)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have access to a computer and have proficient computer skills
