Applications are now being accepted for Head Custodian at Holy Trinity Academy located in the town of Okotoks,

Alberta. This is a full time, 40 hours per week position.

Daily tasks will require a variety of skillsets and responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Supervise and lead a team of custodians, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and workplace wellness.
  • Oversee efficient facility operations through daily, monthly, and annual inspections of the building, grounds,

mechanical systems, and security features.

  • Coordinate scheduling, coverage for absences, and task prioritization based on operational needs.
  • Perform caretaking services to ensure a clean, safe, secure, attractive, and efficient learning environment.
  • Conduct safety and equipment training, staff meetings, and ensure compliance with division safety policies.
  • Submit service requests, maintain supply inventories, and ensure proper use and upkeep of custodial

equipment.

  • Respond to emergency call-ins and resolve or escalate facility issues as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal, grounds inspection, and minor landscaping.
  • Complete minor repairs including lightbulb replacement, plumbing fixes, painting touch-ups, and securing

fixtures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support evolving operational needs.

Preference will be given to candidates with the below qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Custodial supervisory experience (required).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights (up to 10 meters using ladders/lifts).
  • Knowledge or experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems (asset).
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
