Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager the Warehouse Associate is responsible to manage inbound and outbound materials and assets related to the field and internal operations. This position will provide excellent internal customer service to AFL’s operations.

America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is on the hunt for dynamic, Warehouse Associate to join our Canadian Operations.
Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager the Warehouse Associate is responsible to manage inbound and outbound materials and assets related to the field and internal operations. This position will provide excellent internal customer service to AFL’s operations.
Specific Responsibilities And Resulting Outcomes
- Pick, pack and ship materials in a timely and accurate manner.
- Receive, handle, sort, store, and record materials. Report receipts to Operations management and Supply Chain.
- Verify, ensure accuracy, and generate reports for inventory control.
- Monitor volumes of materials and report abuses and needs to Manager.
- Safe operation of forklift, when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
- Display good manners and attitude towards the co-workers and sub-contractors.
- Contribute to general good of the company by accommodating any reasonable request to carry out duties on behalf of other departments within the company.
- Promote and act in alignment with the AFL mission, values, and goals.
- Protect AFL’s values by keeping information confidential.
- Enhance AFL’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
- Help build and maintain positive relations within the team.
- Employee may be asked to perform other ancillary or related duties as required, to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Participate (including preparation and organization) in quarterly and cyclical inventory counts as scheduled.
- 1+ years’ warehouse experience.
- Valid/previous forklift certificate.
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word is an asset.
- Previous experience with inventory tracking systems is an asset.
- Flexible – open to change/new information and rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
- Detail oriented – excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Independent - ability to work well under limited supervision.
- Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving - capable of complex reasoning analysis.
- Results focused – driven to achieve.
- Interpersonal skills – able to collaborate on projects, maintain effective relationships, and communicate clearly at all levels of the business.
- Adaptability - capable of working in a fast-paced environment, adapt to various situations, and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Warehouse environment.
- Exposure to weather conditions, dust, and noise.
- Frequent carrying and lifting product exceeding 30 lbs.
