The Junior Medical Animator is responsible for developing high quality animations, presenting accurate scientific and medical information in a clear and engaging manner. The animator will conduct general scientific research, develop storyboards, composite scenes and develop animations through their entire life-cycle in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
You are comfortable working on a close knit and collaborative team with wide ranges of skill sets and personalities. You enjoy the creative iterative problem-solving process required to bring original concepts and high-profile IPs to life in an immersive experience. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of high-quality medical animations; working on all aspects of 3D animation (modeling, animation, lighting, shading, rendering, basic dynamics)
- Conduct general scientific research for animation and interactive projects.
- Assist with the creation of storyboards, including literature and visual research, creative solutions, drawing frames and compiling storyboard documents
- Composite 3D scenes in After Effects
- Perform basic video and audio editing in Premiere
- Science degree required, graduate of a Biomedical Communications discipline preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment (2+ years working experience preferred)
- Good competency in all aspects of 3D production (C4D or 3DS Max), including modeling, shading, lighting, animating, basic dynamics and rendering (2+ years experience preferred)
- Experience with script-writing and storyboard development
- Good competency in compositing with After Effects
- Good competency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder etc)
- Competency in other software packages, including Mudbox, Unity, etc, preferred
- Basic knowledge of video editing and compression
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
