WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Technician, Clinical Operations to join our Clinical Research team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will be based out of our Fraser Head Office in Liberty Village, and will require candidates to work 5-days a week in-office. This position will be mainly lab based and encompasses administrative responsibilities including clinical sample preparation and shipment, laboratory consumables procurement, in-vitro SPF testing, and support for in-house in-vivo clinical studies. SPF testing will be a large focus for this position.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Technician, Clinical Operations to join our Clinical Research team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will be mainly lab based and encompasses administrative responsibilities including clinical sample preparation and shipment, laboratory consumables procurement, in-vitro SPF testing, and support for in-house in-vivo clinical studies. SPF testing will be a large focus for this position.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Receive, handle, process, identify, record, label, and dispatch samples for external laboratory testing
- Manage clinical sample preparation and shipment procedures and operate and maintain in-vivo laboratory equipment
- Conduct data analysis, statistical evaluation, and report writing for in-house in-vivo studies
- Maintain relationship with vendors & ongoing contracts (in-vivo & in-vitro)
- Assist with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and reference document updates as required
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Order and track laboratory consumables for the entire Clinical Research laboratory and Maintain relationships with vendors and manage ongoing contracts for in-vivo and in-vitro services
- Evaluate and select appropriate sources for laboratory materials and services
- Willing to be trained to conduct in-house SPF screening testing following FDA, ISO, and Static protocols and collaborate with internal partners for technical guidance and support
- Prepare and deliver testing reports to stakeholders
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory technician role
- Ability to perform careful measurements and interpret basic experimental results, for example, interpreting in-vivo probe measurements
- Relevant experience or education in SPF formulation & testing
- Experience with statistical analysis software and data management systems
- Relevant education in laboratory science and administration or another relevant field OR equivalent work experience
