JOB PURPOSE
As part of Wing Group’s strategic growth initiatives and maturing business systems environment, the Business Analyst will focus on three primary responsibilities: developing and maintaining documentation standards, producing and managing clear technical documentation across the business systems landscape, and supporting requirement gathering through structured and consistent recordkeeping.
This role ensures all business systems-related documentation—from new feature documentation to standards, process flows, and technical SOPs—is accurate, up to date, and accessible. By producing high-quality documentation, the analyst plays a critical role in ensuring team alignment, regulatory readiness, and scalable knowledge sharing across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
WHAT WE OFFER
We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $85,000 - $105,000 annually. Additionally, we offer extended health and dental benefits, Group RSP with employer matching, a generous bank of wellness days, and industry perks. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
RESPONSIBILITY
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Define, standardize, and maintain documentation templates, naming conventions, and repositories for all business systems documentation.
- Write and maintain detailed user guides, technical specifications, integration diagrams, change logs, and functional documents.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and developers to document new features, workflows, APIs, and system logic clearly and consistently.
- Maintain a central knowledge base or wiki that aligns with governance and internal audit standards.
- Ensure all documentation meets accessibility and usability standards for both technical and business users.
- Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure completeness, version control, and adherence to standards.
System Administration and Analytics:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all ERP system modules.
- Gather and interpret business ERP needs, analyzing system functionality to align with these requirements.
- Recommend and implement changes to enhance ERP system efficiency, working closely with the IT department to apply new functionalities and modifications.
- Design and deploy customizations, workflows, and dashboards to meet specific business needs.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ERP modules, business processes, and IT solutions.
- Develop and configure customized programs, scripts, and ERP applications to improve functionality.
- Create user-friendly interfaces and functionalities to enhance system usability.
- Stay informed about the latest ERP system releases, software features, and industry trends.
- Navigate systems to extract and analyze data, summarizing trends and highlighting areas of concern effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and actionable insights.
- Leverage tools such as Excel and PowerBI for data analysis, summarization, and tracking.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales orders, job tracking, inventory management, labor, and billing.
- Interpret data and convert findings into actionable insights and practical narratives.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the Business Systems Manager to document system and process governance frameworks.
- Support the definition of business standards, naming conventions, and data dictionaries.
- Continuously improve documentation quality through peer reviews and structured feedback loops.
- Train internal stakeholders on best practices for writing requirements and maintaining documentation hygiene.
- Post-Secondary Degree (preferably a Bachelors in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or Engineering)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in information technology or business analysis.
- Will begin working towards their IIBA certification
- Must have prior experience in process modeling, requirements gathering, solution evaluation & proposal, API integrations, software testing.
