Event Day Volunteer - Davie Village Pride Festival

Role Details When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community Description The Canadian Cancer Society will be participating in the Davie Village Pride Festival on Sunday, August 3, at Davie Village & Nelson Park in Vancouver! This is a fantastic opportunity to show our support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, connect with festival-goers, and celebrate inclusivity and diversity together
Tasks will vary by shift. The schedule for the day is:
11AM to 12PM : Collect event materials from the Canadian Cancer Society office; 12PM to 2PM : Event set up in Davie Village 2PM to 5PM or 5PM to 8PM : Interact with festival attendees, sharing information about the Canadian Cancer Society and engaging them in fun games and activities 8PM to 10PM : Dismantling of the site 10PM to 11PM : Return event materials from the Canadian Cancer Society office; Why we need you This is a unique opportunity to embody our mission, vision and values and make a difference in your community! • Good physical fitness, in the case of set up, take down, and transportation roles as some lifting will be required.

• Availability on the day of the event, Sunday August 3rd.
• Shift lasting 1-3 hours.
