We are a specialized weld shop who deals with high grade material looking for someone talented to join our team and grow. Prior experience working in a Metal Fabrication environment is ideal. And being able to read a tape measure and drawings is a must!

About the Position:
In the role of a Document Control Clerk/Entry Level Inspector you will be responsible for primarily reviewing incoming material documentation ensuring orders conform to required standards and to review parts both at the plant and at suppliers to review incoming material quality.

Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week

What will you be doing:

    Ensure proper records of all inspections and projects are kept on file and files for each contract are kept current

    Perform incoming material inspections and verify materials & heat #’s are correct to Purchase Order & packing slip, as well as inspect and report on the materials for defects

    Self-motivated to achieve a desired level of quality and to possess a “QUALITY IS JOB 1” attitude

    Ensure quality control documentation is compiled, maintained, and completed in a timely matter meeting project deadline

    Complete external and internal NCR journal tracking and generating

    Generate, update, and enter in data to existing and new forms as required (MSP, audit forms, NDE, tracking)

    Stenciling and paint touch-ups on an as-need basis

    Deal with the customer’s Quality Assurance Inspectors in a courteous, professional manner

    Perform any other tasks that he/she or the QA Manager feels is required to better the company

    Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with supervisor and the project management team

    Represent the company at all levels of business and adhere to the principles set out in the company mission statement

    Report to the QA Manager any contravention to the OHSA or other regulations, including Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.’s. policies and procedures, report any potential hazards

    Extended hours may be required from time to time

    Travel to suppliers or contractors if required

    Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Level of education : High school

Diploma :Aucun

Status : Completed

Work experience (years) : 3-5 years

Written English : Intermediate

Spoken English : Intermediate

REQUESTED SKILLS

    Knowledge of quality control procedures, weld processes, recordkeeping and systems considered an asset

    Excellent communication, technical writing, and organization skills

    Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail

    Works well under pressure

    Computer skills in Adobe, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD (is an asset)

    Proven record of punctuality and reliability with a good attendance and performance record

    Safety conscious work habits

    Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly

    Ability to work effectively with team members and yet be independent and self-reliant when completing tasks

    Demonstrate initiative and is a proactive problem solver

    Familiar with NDE testing procedures considered an asset

    Be proactive and accountable for deadlines and job requirements

    Ability to read a measuring tape
