Education, Training And Experience

  • Grade 10, plus one (1) year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Ridge Meadows Hospital is the local community hospital for both Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge and has 172 acute care beds. As a community hospital, it provides primary and secondary acute care and specialty services including 24/7 emergency, ambulatory care, day surgery, general and internal medicine, rehabilitation, maternity care, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, critical care, pharmacy, medical imaging, and a medical laboratory for both inpatient and outpatient needs.

Detailed Overview

Spends a majority of the time washing and scubbing pots, pans and other accessories; checks patient meal trays to ensure that items on the meal tray correspond with patient meal plan.

Responsibilities

  • Washes, scrubs, rinses, dries pots, pans and related accessories.
  • Washes floors; walls and ceilings for an assigned area (s), cleans ovens and other equipment.
  • Set ups trayline checker station with items that could be missing from the trays.
  • Checks patient meal trays against meal tickets to ensure the accuracy of food and food-related items on the tray.
  • Removes inappropriate items and/or portions from the tray as per patient meal plan; assembles late trays, as requested.
  • Portions and assembles food and beverage items on the trayline.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Grade 10, plus one (1) year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current Food Safe certificate.
