Our growing client in Central Ottawa is seeking a Director of Finance to join their fast-paced, dynamic organization on a full-time, permanent basis. This organization prides itself in offering opportunities for professional growth and development paired with a generous compensation package.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Production of financial statements
- Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
- Costing and inventory analysis, cash flow management
- Preparing Month and Year End close for appropriate department
- Financial Analysis, Risk Analysis, reporting, ad hoc analysis as needed
- Submission of tax remittances, present tax optimization strategies
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and presenting financial reports
- Liaising with external auditors and leading the Audit process
- Institute and maintain internal controls as well as streamlining policies & procedures, compliance
- Communicating with Senior Management on all Finance-related strategies, including developing long-term growth models
- Oversee and provide support to senior level accounting staff, provide mentorship and development for Accounting team through thoughtful evaluation
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Active CPA Designation in good standing
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance within a similar role for a medium-to-large organization
- 3+ years of leadership of an accounting team
- Previous experience in Construction or Manufacturing sectors
- Strong oral, written, and communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
