Hill's Pet Nutrition Canada, a division of Colgate Palmolive, stands as a premier manufacturer of high-quality, science-based pet food. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and strategic Brand Manager, Science Diet to become a valuable addition to our team. This role works in tandem with our commercial team and key customers to formulate and implement brand plans that not only foster sustained growth but also enhance the overall health of the brand.

Hill's Pet Nutrition Canada, a division of Colgate Palmolive, stands as a premier manufacturer of high-quality, science-based pet food. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and strategic Brand Manager, Science Diet to become a valuable addition to our team. This role works in tandem with our commercial team and key customers to formulate and implement brand plans that not only foster sustained growth but also enhance the overall health of the brand.
What You Will Do
20% - Brand Leadership and Financial Management
- Assists in the development of annual brand plan to achieve growth goals that are consistent with the company's global objectives, consumer insights, and customer/category dynamics. Flexibly adjusts plans to address evolving environments when necessary. Prepares and presents plans to leadership and/or executive teams.
- Key participant in the annual budgeting process and monthly CBP discipline to forecast sales volume, GTN and A&P spend. Ensure timely and accurate submission of PO and invoice payment requests.
- Provides in-depth analysis of consumption and share data to identify business performance trends and issues. Provide reporting and insights to the commercial team.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Hill’s global colleagues and with agency partners
- Works with Senior Brand Manager to develop a comprehensive media plan in collaboration with the agency to drive brand awareness, consideration and purchase.
- Monitor the execution and performance of media campaigns. Provide clear direction to the agency to implement corrective actions or plan optimizations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and product launches to to achieve specific brand and category objectives (share, volume, distribution).
- Leads the development and execution of programs and product launches Develop and execute plans for new product launches. Work closely with Global and US colleagues to to leverage innovation IMCs. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure successful product launches for all customers.
- Work closely with retail partners and customer development teams to gain a deep understanding of opportunities for brand growth. Formulates plans and executes effective shopper marketing programs that drive product visibility and sales.
- Responsible for accurate and timely product information (pack shots, thumbnails, marketing copy, etc) for Canada (EN and FR) in the digital asset management tool.
- Leads the strategy and content calendar for professional CRM.
- Supports the eCommerce team with asset creation for promotions and IMCs.
- Provides support to the eCommerce team on digital shelf assets when needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Brand Management, preferably within the consumer packaged goods industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of consumer packaged goods marketing, consumer media, project management and financial acumen.
- Experience in planning and activating consumer marketing campaigns.
- Strong technical knowledge of digital media and digital advertising strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills in Google Business Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and ability to learn company specific tools & programs.
- Bilingual in English and French.
