We are seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to support McKesson Canada’s Corporate Functions and Specialty Health business units. This role is integral to aligning HR initiatives with McKesson’s strategic goals, ensuring our HR initiatives are not only effective but transformative. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of HR generalist skills and excel in program management, executing HR initiatives from inception to completion. With a proven track record in large organizations, the candidate will have demonstrated experience in collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver robust, enterprise-wide initiatives. The role demands an independent self-starter who can spearhead major initiatives that drive business transformation. A knack for engaging stakeholders, both within the business and HR COE partners, is essential to succeed in this multifaceted position.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities
- As the dedicated HR liaison for assigned client groups, deliver both strategic and operational HR support with unwavering commitment. Craft and present captivating presentations to ensure seamless communication with clients. Uphold a standard of exceptional service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues to the highest satisfaction. Act as a strategic thought partner that provides leaders with support on a variety of business-related topics, and addressing and overcoming challenges related to organizational design, reorganizations, complex employee relations, and change management.
- Craft and interpret comprehensive reports to unveil insightful data that drives informed decision-making. Deliver analytical expertise to evaluate and ensure our programs are effectively meeting the value expectations and needs of our client groups and applicable stakeholders.
- Design and lead strategic HR priorities for your assigned client group. Align HR strategies to effectively link to business priorities, maximize talent, minimize risk, and optimize business performance. This will include leading initiatives to facilitate cultural change aimed at aligning with McKesson's vision and values. This work will involve creating culture plans for senior leadership to create a culture of care meaning and belonging to all levels of the organization.
- Utilize interaction modeling techniques to improve collaboration and communication within teams and clearly define roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with business leaders to support the implementation of effective organizational structures that optimize performance and support business goals. This works involves the entire organizational design process from designing organizational models to executing on structure and people impacts.
- Act as a change champion, driving and supporting change management efforts across the enterprise to foster an agile and innovative culture. Support training activities for clients to ensure they are proficient in using our products and services.
- Execution and implementation of HR programs that address business needs and enhance organizational effectiveness. This includes involvement in various events, leading events, and coordination. This role will own and lead the planning and execution of McKesson Canada’s Internship and Rewards & Recognition programs, ensuring these programs are run smoothly to achieve organizational objectives.
- Build effective partnerships and relationships with leaders and employees to solve complex HR challenges.
- Coach leaders in change management strategies for major initiatives. Act as a change agent to maximize results while minimizing negative impact on our employee experience.
- Lead and manage all human resources activities to ensure the right people are in place and prepared to meet the challenges of the business. Acquire the best talent.
- Maintain expert working knowledge of environmental factors influencing the business (i.e., HR legislation, best practices trends, etc.
- Degree or diploma in business management or Human Resources.
- Typically requires 7+ years of professional experience in a supply chain or logistics industry.
- Business acumen with enterprise mindset. Preferred global experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong relationship building and change management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, project management, communication, problem solving, and influence skills. A demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with the business and within HR.
- Collaborative, experienced with supporting stakeholders and team members in a matrixed environment.
