Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Long Term Care Community Support Programs, provide tenant focused support services and/or comprehensive, flexible interventions to tenants of P.R. Cook Apartments Support Services Program.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in one of the social sciences
  • Two (2) years experience working with the elderly within a community care environment
  • Knowledge and experience with gerontology, Alzheimer Disease and related dementias

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong facilitation skills along with the ability to deliver presentations information to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish rapport with others and to maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and customers
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify, understand, and meet the requirements of internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
