We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Key Account Manager to develop, manage, and grow strategic customer relationships. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, maximizing account value, and achieving revenue and margin goals. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a strategic thinker, and an effective collaborator, capable of leading cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class service and commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- :Develop and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key accounts to achieve sustainable, organic growth
- .Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing all commercial, technical, and service interactions
- .Research customer needs, industry trends, and market dynamics to provide tailored solutions
- .Generate new leads and grow the sales pipeline within existing key accounts
- .Implement account penetration strategies to expand service offerings and drive sales
- .Engage with customers via calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings to foster relationships and maintain high satisfaction
- .Collaborate with internal technical, engineering, and procurement teams to prepare accurate and compelling proposals, quotations, and bid submissions
- .Liaise with customer stakeholders to ensure proposals are technically compliant and commercially viable
- .Manage sales forecasting including revenue and gross margin projections by month and quarter
- .Monitor and manage opportunities to convert quotations into orders through persuasive communication and negotiation
- .Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and trust
- .Support the planning and execution of quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets
- .Contribute to strategic account planning alongside leadership teams
- .Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer operations, competitors, and market challenges
- .Coordinate and chair both internal and external meetings and progress reviews
- .Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activity and forecasts
- .Ensure all activities align with the company’s Business Management System (BMS) and ISO-9001 standards
- .Champion internal collaboration, continuous improvement, and a positive, solutions-driven team culture
- .Proven experience in key account management, business development, or strategic sales, ideally in a technical or engineering-driven environment
- .Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand complex customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions
- .Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- .Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across different levels of an organization
- .High proficiency in preparing and presenting professional proposals, quotations, and sales documentation
- .Familiarity with CRM tools and sales forecasting processes
- .Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- .A team player with a proactive and collaborative mindset
.Requirements
- :Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Member of a professional institute. Degree level qualification in an engineering, business marketing or technical subject
- .Experience working within ISO-9001 frameworks
- .Understanding of technical sales cycles and industrial B2B environments
- .Previous Account Management or Inside Sales experience
- .Experience in working across an engineering and manufacturing organisation securing support in delivering key performance indicators
- .Competent communicator and negotiator with proven ability to actively and effectively communicate and engage customers and internal stakeholders at all organisational levels
- .Confident presenter of information to small or large audiences, able to communicate and deliver a persuasive customer context value proposition specific to the needs of individual customers
- .Excellent problem-solving skills, utilizing data/statistical and analytical methods to resolve commercial issues
- .Knowledgeable and competent user of current day office packages (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
