About the job:
The Permit Coordinator reports to the Project Manager and in this role, you will be responsible for researching and applying for the necessary permits for our company to operate. This will include staying up to date on changes in regulations and ensuring that our company is in compliance. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with permit coordination, excellent research skills, and attention to detail.
Your responsibilities:- Review and Process Application for Electrical License and Permits.
- Ensuring that all permits are requested in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records of issued and expired licenses and permits.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to licenses and permits.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure all licenses and permits remain in compliance with governing laws.
- Ensure that installations are safe, legal, and inspected as required.
- Mentoring apprentices or less experienced electricians, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety practices.
- Advising that work is performed according to the New Brunswick Electrical Code and other applicable safety regulations.
- Open to taking on leadership roles on the project.
- Update and maintain database with information about licenses and permits
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualifications/ Certification:
- Class 3 New Brunswick Electricians license with required Insurance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of local permit and licensing requirements
