As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. Our scope: new electric locomotives, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, and much more.

We are currently looking for an EHS Training & Documentation Coordinator to join the Health, Safety and Environment team of the Toronto OnCorr project.

This position is mainly office (90%) with a small portion of the field (10%).

You will support the EHS Director of the project to ensure EHS compliance with a focus on Training & Documentation for employees and Alstom contractors for all phases of the project.

Here some examples of the responsibilities and tasks that will be assigned to you:

Key responsibilities:

  • Give Internal Trainings (EHS site induction, AZDP Site induction, risk assessment training,)
  • Give WHIMIS training
  • Manage of training supplier ’s
  • Organise training sessions
  • Create and update interna trainings
  • Revise Work plan (EHS section)
  • Revise SOP (EHS section)
  • Revise, Support & Coach supervisors on the redaction of the risk assessment and SOP
  • Revise of EHS internal documentation (SMS, procedure, …)
  • Give Toolboxes
  • Manage EHS committees
  • Ensure legal monitoring
  • Support for Contractor pre-qualification and administrative compliance
  • Production of monthly performance indicators (Internal, external)
  • Support for the organization of events, visits.
  • Ensure that the training matrix and internal training content are updated.
  • Produce internal and external reports

Profile

  • Studies in Health and Safety
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Construction site experience, an asset
  • Rail experience, an asset
  • Experience and strong interest in administrative tasks
  • Experience, strong interest and competence in the delivery of trainings
  • Experience and strong interest in writing documents
  • Mastery of the Office Pack
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Driver's license required
