Position Summary

The position is for a Senior Business Analyst, Level 3. The candidate will work within a Project Management & Program Delivery team and in collaboration with solution delivery vendors and stakeholders. The focus is on leading the development of user experiences for digital solutions using agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating online user experience strategies.
  • Develop product design criteria, planning activities, and communication protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to web usability and accessibility standards.
  • Lead usability requirements testing and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultations to assess and prioritize business needs.
  • Visualize and design digital solutions that are user-friendly and accessible.
  • Oversee the team in producing design components like user personas and wireframes.
  • Provide technical advice on usability and front-end design aspects.
  • Contribute to project status reports and prepare presentation slide decks.

Technical Skills Requirements (40%)

  • Experience designing online user experiences for complex digital solutions.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Balsamiq, InVision).
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • Knowledge of Backlog Management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Pivotal Tracker.
  • Experience with web usability and accessibility standards (e.g.WCAG 2.0 to WCAG 2.1 Level A & AA).
  • Knowledge of Ontario digital government standards.
