Position Overview:

The Networking & Security team is looking for a Principal Consultant to provide subject matter expertise in Network Security to our customers. As a successful candidate, you will join a Professional Services organization team delivering enterprise-level solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction, project timelines, and deliverables. This billable and client-facing role will also interact with Compugen's Advanced Solutions group and sales teams, providing in-depth technical consulting, analysis, and implementation services for Compugen customers. This role will report to the Managing Principal Consultant, Enterprise Network and Security, and will be based in Vancover, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical security projects from concept to completion.
  • Lead and deliver Security Solutions with a strong skill set and a good understanding of Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba and Cisco.
  • Design and implement Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba Cisco-based network, and security solutions for Compugen customers.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • College or University education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of IT experience.
  • Industry certifications required, with PCNSE at a minimum.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with strong verbal, written, and listening skills, professionalism, confidence, business case analytical skills, presentation skills, and time management skills.
  • Develop and manage complex projects related to network infrastructure.
  • 10+ years’ experience in routing and switching technologies.
  • 10+ years’ experience in installing, configuring, and managing Cisco L2&3 switches, etc.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Meraki L2&3 switch installation, administration, and management.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Meraki wireless solutions and access points.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE for access control policy platform.
  • Extensive Experience with Fortinet Firewalls.


Other Qualifications:

  • Network automation skills is a very strong plus – Ansible, Terraform, Python
  • Desired industry certifications: Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet.
  • Cisco CCIE
  • Fortinet NSE 7
  • Aruba ACEP
  • Understanding of Cisco ACI, SDWAN, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Umbrella, and App Dynamics (nice to have).
  • Experience in providing advisory and/or technical project leadership or project management is desired.
  • Training and understanding of large-scale enterprise deployments.
  • Relevant experience in designing, architecting, and implementing Security-based solutions, following structured project methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep up to date with current security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent written work, presentation materials, and superlative communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and detailed oriented
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment effectively prioritize, and execute on multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with business and technical stakeholders: enabling and supporting successful project and/or strategy delivery
