RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
The Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM) is seeking to establish a pool of occasional nurses with experience in critical care, ICU, and/or infusion therapy. These nurses will support full-time CIM nursing staff by assisting with clinical trial-related activities, particularly those occurring outside of regular working hours. Reporting to CIM management, successful candidates will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, depending on the specific demands of each clinical trial.
The Centre for Innovative Medicine is located in the Glen site hospital, which is a unique center in Canada of 5000m2 dedicated exclusively to clinical research.

Education / Experience
Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)
Work Experience: 2-5 years
Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
Required Skills
Status : Temporary occasional (on-call, as needed). Work will take place outside of regular hours, primarily to support trial observations. There are no guaranteed hours and no minimum requirement.
Pay Scale: Commensurate to qualifications and experience, $24.40/hour - $45.29/hour.
Work Shift: Variable schedule.
Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie

General Duties
- Performs patient health situation clinical evaluations,
- Provides care planning and establishes priorities,
- Provides care and treatments to patients as required by their health situation and evaluates the outcomes,
- Communicates with the patient and their family, the interdisciplinary team, his pairs or the support staff,
- Accomplishes any other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Education / Experience

Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
Required Skills
- Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
- Up to date CRP Certification,
- Member in good standing of the OIIQ,
- Efficient work organization,
- Mobilizing leadership,
- Health promotion and maintenance.
