The Automotive Research & Development Centre (ARDC) located in Windsor, Ontario, is a part of the Stellantis Product Development organization active in the design and test of automobiles and components with over 140 employees.
ARDC Experimental Mechanics (Hourly) will perform fabrication, assembly, installation, calibration, maintenance and testing on new experimental automotive components and test equipment from oral or written instructions as well as from blueprints or sketches.
The Experimental Mechanic (Hourly) diagnoses malfunctions and problems in vehicle components and systems; repairs or rebuilds mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and structural components of cars and trucks; and has strong teamwork and individual skills.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a Valid 310S - Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification
- Minimum FIVE (5) years automotive service experience
- Must have a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Card
- Must have a valid Class 'G' Driver's license
- Must have own tools
- Ability to work shiftwork
- Ability to perform front-end alignments, transmission and engine assembly/disassembly
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform overhead work
- Related trade licenses (310T - Truck and Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification) considered an asset
- Experience servicing Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) an asset
- Experience with mills, lathes and welding an asset
- Blueprint reading an asset
- Must meet Canadian Immigration requirements
- Introductory level of computer skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Good communications skills Willingness to work on a variety of assignments
