About the Role
In this role, you will support day-to-day operations of a 1-floor, 28,000 sq. ft. office in Charlottetown.
You will effectively manage vendors to ensure the provision of exemplary facilities management services to the Client. You will manage resources, promote an ethos of teamwork, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
You will offer support to ensure workflow is delivered effectively and safely. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a trusting relationship with the Client and contribute to the success of Macro through operational activities.
Main Job Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable working environment. Serve as the onsite interface between general contractors and subcontractors for special projects related to building operations.
- Coordinate assigned vendor activities, ensuring the delivery of services and value for money through robust management of suppliers and measurement of performance as outlined in service agreements/contracts.Assist with tendering contracts with vendors to ensure the best pricing and services.
- Minimise risk and maintain or improve profitability against agreed targets. Ensure KPIs, business, and financial targets are met, and all required reporting is completed on time.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and Macro/Client life, safety, and security procedures.
- Manage the client’s ISO 14001 accreditation and programs, including maintenance of the certificate, document control/management, auditing, Green Team, utility/usage data entry, legislative monitoring and compliance, annual reporting, etc.
- Conduct risk assessments of on-site operations and mechanical areas; maintain the site risk register.
- Manage fm24 help desk tickets assigned to the site and ensure timely resolution within service level agreements.
- Perform daily/weekly critical equipment and site checks. Participate in team effort to follow up with the general condition of the site.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed; available on-call during scheduled rotations.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an Office Services, Facilities, or Property Management team
- FMP certification.
- Recognized HSE qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, LEED, etc.).
- Ergonomic assessor certification.
- ISO 14001 experience.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency using internet software, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
