Reporting directly to ownership, you will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the company. You'll manage a small but mighty team and be responsible for the full financial cycle, ensuring we remain fiscally sound, compliant, and positioned for long-term success.

About The Role
Reporting directly to ownership, you will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the company. You'll manage a small but mighty team and be responsible for the full financial cycle, ensuring we remain fiscally sound, compliant, and positioned for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions, including quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Oversee and review company budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
- Monitor construction and development project budgets and performance
- Manage corporate records and inter company loan accounts
- Oversee payroll, HST, EHT, WSIB filings, and reconciliations
- Administer commercial leases and annual cost escalations
- Analyze financing structures including mortgages and loan portfolios
- Collaborate with external partners: auditors, legal counsel, and financial institutions
- Deliver timely financial reporting and insights to ownership
- Maintain and improve financial controls, systems, and internal processes
- CPA designated with 5+ years of experience (real estate/asset management industry preferred)
- Detail-oriented and strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple priorities
- Tech-savvy with strong Microsoft Office skills (Yardi experience a plus)
- A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, relationship-first environment
