About The Job

Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation, the Warehouse Technician supports the warehouse operations and activities, receives, processes and issues warehouse stock; assure stock and warehouse is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, and punctuality are essential requirements for this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities, assure stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition;
• Receive, identify, mark and place materials sent to the warehouse;
• Prepare various merchandise for delivery; prepare packages for shipping;
• Assist with providing necessary security within the warehouse;
• Maintain a variety of records, files and reports of stock and order supplies as necessary;
• Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures (SOP);
• Monitor equipment and processes, conduct and direct trouble shooting activities when problem arise;
• Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles; utilize a variety of hand tools as required; arrange for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed;
• Pick up and deliver items utilizing Site vehicles as required;
• Operate a computer to process reports and forms, and maintain inventory of warehouse materials as required;
• Maintain regular attendance;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate;
• Five (5) years’ experience in a warehouse role preferred;
• Red Seal Certification preferred:
• Mining industry experience desired;
• Valid Driver’s license;
• Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.
  
  

Additional Information

• Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.
• Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
